Payton {Ridgefield, Wa Family Photographer}

A dear friend of mine asked me if I would be willing to take photos of her little girl wearing her wedding dress. UMMMM YES PLEASE!  I think I may have cut her off saying Yes in an obnoxious squeal of delight. I knew they could be incredible and I was honored she trusted me with such a special shoot. Payton, is Brody's best friend and the two are truly inseparable. I couldn't wait to spend some girl time with her and at sunset. It was a dream.

Erika & Alex {Vancouver, Wa Engagement Photographer}

Its official. I adore these two. From our very first meeting, I knew I loved them. So easy going and fun. Well after our engagement shoot together, I could not be more excited to be their photographer on their wedding day. Alex looks at Erika in the sweetest way, and Erika lights up with the best smile when they are together.  Genuinely happy and all around kind souls, these two are just fantastic and I know their wedding day is going to be magic. Pure. Magic.

Kayla & Brice {Kalama, Wa Engagement Photographer}

I could tell from my first coffee "date" with Kayla that I would love working with her and desperately hoped that her and her fiancé Brice would choose me as the photographer for their wedding. She decided on the spot that we were a perfect fit and let me tell ya, I was so excited! I felt like we had been friends forever and that would make working together that much more fun. We finally had a break in the crazy winter/spring rain here in the PNW and we scheduled their engagement shoot. I was that crazy photographer lady that asked them to meet me in the middle of nowhere in a vacant lot to shoot. Of course, they obliged without any reservations and lets just say, I LOVED their session. Overlooking the town of Kalama and the Columbia River below, the clear cut trees were just enough of a backdrop to keep the attention on them. The love between them and the beautiful couple in front of me. I can not wait for their September wedding!

Breeden Family {Portland, OR Family Photographer}

I have been seriously behind in getting my 2017 sessions blogged, and I know I always say I will be better about it, but hey! I am trying and life has been busy. But, better late than never right? I really want to share the incredible families I get work with as much as I can so I am REALLY, really going to try to be more on top of it. So excuse the crazy influx of blog posts coming over the next few days/week.

The Breeden's were AMAZING. I can not say enough good things about his family. I came home raving about how much fun they were and how  much I loved our session. It was a cold, crisp morning in Vancouver and they were rockstars. Laughing and being silly, going along with my crazy requests and all of it while giggling and going with the flow. I adored their dynamic and can't wait to see them again soon. Thanks again Breeden Family! xoxo

Baby K {In-home Newborn Lifestyle} Kelso, Wa

This handsome little guy decided he couldn't wait one more minute to meet his family and joined them way sooner than anyone expected! A little fighter from the beginning, just a little time after getting home from the NICU, I had the pleasure of spending time with this awesome family. With two big brothers, Baby K, was a dream and the joy that he brings is overwhelming. Thank you so much for a great morning, and for inviting me into your home to capture such a special time in your lives. Big hugs to all! xoxo

Mr. & Mrs. Lyman {Summit Grove Lodge, Ridgefield, Wa Wedding}

Whoa! I can not believe it has taken me this long to get this gorgeous wedding up on the blog! But nonetheless I finally did it! Between Christmas, holiday sessions, moving, and now remodeling our new home, my blog flow has definitely been slacking. But NO more!

Brandon and Candace's day was nothing short of perfection. A gorgeous, rainy November Saturday at the Summit Grove Lodge in Ridgefield, Wa.

An absolutely stunning venue with a classy, yet rustic feel and gorgeous amenities throughout the grounds. Stunning grey's and deep merlot were beautiful accents and the bride and groom were truly glowing. I love that they kept with tradition and didn't see one another before the wedding, except around a wall to privately share their personal vows with only each other. A sweet ceremony with the couple sharing communion, the bride's dad praying over the couple at the reception and a party to remember, Candace and Brandon truly had a near perfect day. I am completely honored to have been a part of their day and cannot say enough things about these two as people.

Congratulations Mr. & Mrs. Lyman. May your marriage be blessed deeply! xoxo

John & Jordan {Battle Ground, Wa Engagement Photographer}

This time of year is usually filled with adorable families and cute kids... well this session had all of that and a little twist. An engagement shoot! These two are going to tie the knot at the coast in January and wanted a engagement type shoot to accompany their family shoot, and we had a blast. River rock throwing, laying in the leaves and puddle jumping, this shoot had a little bit of everything.

Salsbury Family {La Center Senior and Family Photographer}

Not often do I combine a senior shoot with a family shoot, generally just because seniors take quite a bit of time. Come to find out, that their senior was AMAZING in front of the camera! Seriously, she nailed every pose, every look, every EVERYTHING~I think she could easily have a future in modeling she is an stunner. When it was time for their family shots, their girls were so full of energy and fun, we had a great time! All giggles and smiles! Their dog was such a fun addition to an already great shoot. Thank you Salsbury Family!

Lesieur Family {Vancouver Wa Family Photographer}

I am always blown away by how small our world really is. So when Jacque messaged me about setting up a family shoot, I thought I recognized her name and wanted to confirm she didn't know me and think I was in Cali doing shoots. So she said she was in Vancouver and we went ahead and scheduled. Fast forward to our shoot and it was driving me nuts that I thought I recognized her name, so I asked her! Come to find out, she went to my high school and was in my younger sisters class! Such a small world! Her adorable family was amazing and we had a blast picking up sticks, rocks and playing in the leaves with her gorgeous little lady. I can't wait for the big family shoot coming soon!

Merritt Family {La Center Family Photographer}

I can not say enough kind things about this adorable family. Truly, some of the sweetest. The day of their shoot was ugly, I mean gross. Pouring rain, nasty dark clouds, and a cold wet breeze. All around not ideal for your fall family pictures. BUT... this family rocked it. We found a tree that provided us a dry patch from the pouring rain and we utilized it to the best of our ability. And then, because I can tell they are just awesome parents, they let their little guy have fun in puddles! My kind of parents! He had done so great in the nasty weather, that they let him have some fun before jumping in the car to head home. I was so thrilled when they took me up on the offer to come back down (did I mention they lived over 30 minutes away) so I could get some pictures of their little lady in better conditions. She was a dream and I can not wait to see their adorable kiddos grow up and take their pictures for years to come!

Baird Family {Vancouver, Wa Family Photographer}

This adorable family came back to see me after I did a mini shoot for their handsome boys a few months back. The boys were each having birthdays and starting school, so it seemed fitting to do a mini shoot of just them. Well, after chatting with their mama, she mentioned they had only ever had their family pictures taken in a studio at the mall, never outside! That had to change! ;) So needless to say, I was thrilled when I saw her email for a fall family shoot. They picked a great day, and the fall color was gorgeous! Thank you again Baird family, cant wait for next time!

Addison Turns 2! {Vancouver, Wa Family Photographer}

This amazing little lady holds a very special place in my heart! Her mama is one of my sweetest, dear friends and last year I had the pleasure of shooting her first birthday photos with an amazing cake smash! When Katie brought up the idea of a tea party for her themed birthday party I had to do everything in my power not to squeal with excitement. (Ok, so that may be a lie, I did in fact squeal). Any who, we chose the most incredible night, with unbelievable light and let little Miss A. just do her thing! Strawberries, cookies, teddies and tea made for one of my favorites to date! Enjoy!

Kell {Woodland High School Senior}

Kell, ironically enough is family! Crazy to find that thru Facebook and family connections, that by marriage our two families are linked and had no idea! So when his mom contacted me about senior photos, I was more than happy to get to work together! As with most shoots, seniors especially, Kell was a a bit shy to begin with but after our hour together, he rocked his shoot! I especially loved his plaid shirt and the wood piles! Such a cool look a senior! Good luck in your future Kell!

Seamus {La Center Senior}

When the very first shot of your shoot is a breeze, and then your client says, "I am pretty photogenic" you get pretty excited about the possibilities. Seamus was that guy. Every pose he nailed, he brought his own flare to our shoot and was just all around a great senior to shoot! Grandma was pleasantly surprised at his ease in front of the camera and loved his attitude and pose throughout! Congrats Seamus and best wishes in your future endeavors!

Alexis Groff {Camas High School Senior}

Alexis was a dream! This gorgeous girl was sent my way from another senior session I had done just a few weeks earlier, and she was just as awesome! Such a sweet personality, and just an all around awesome person! I had so much fun hanging out with both Alexis and her mom, and was genuinely sad when we finished up!  Best of luck to you in your future!

Croley Family {Ridgefield, WA Family Photographer}

I am so behind on blogging my recent sessions, but I am hoping to get caught up soon! So sorry! The Croley family was INCREDIBLE! We had so much fun! The light was amazing, and their sweet demeanor was just too good to be true!

Mr. & Mrs. Gauthier (Astoria Wedding Photographer)

"I just want to get married"- When your bride has the true meaning behind the day in her mind, the details are just that... details. Shari was so focused on seeing her groom, she kept her cool and was the most laid back, go with the flow bride. It was evident from the moment I arrived until I left the true, TRUE purpose of the day. To be forever one another's. Justin and Shari were a fabulous. A fun loving couple that were ready to be husband and wife. They made sure they made plenty of time to enjoy their day and their friends and family that were there to share in the memory with them. It was a pleasure to be there to document it for them. Thank you both for having me and for sharing such an important day in your life. Congrats love birds and best wishes always! xoxo

Lauren Class of 2017 (Camas Senior Photographer)

Camas Senior Photographer

This beautiful young lady was a dream! She came to her senior photo shoot ready to rock and roll. The weather did not disappoint and the light right before sunset was near perfection. She seemed like she may be a bit shy, but warmed up immediately and was a rock star for her shoot! I love, love, seniors! They have so much life ahead of them, and I love just chatting with them about their dreams and ambitions. Lauren, congrats on your accomplishments so far and reach for the stars! I know you will get there! xoxo

Friday Harbor Family Vacation (Washington Photographer)

So after a crazy week back to work following vacation, I was finally able to sit back and edit some personal photos of our week on Friday Harbor. I personally had no idea what to expect from our visit there but was excited to see someplace new and that was relatively close to home (3.5 hours is close in our book ;).  You guys! It was like a Norman Rockwell Painting! I kid you not, it was absolutely gorgeous! The scenery was breathtaking, the quiet slow pace was unbelievably refreshing and exactly what our little family needed to recharge. We spent our days hiking, reading, napping, playing on a rope swing, and wildlife observing. I have never in my life seen so many deer! It was nutty! They were everywhere! But back to my point, this little majestic island was incredible. We had an awesome time and I definitely took advantage of the gorgeous landscape and made my self get up early to catch sunrise and late to see it set. Hope you enjoy! And if you can, make the trip to Roche Harbor on Friday Harbor. IT IS SO WORTH IT!
